It seems the new buzzword for improving OSH is culture, although the concept of organizational culture or climate has been a frequent topic at safety conferences for several decades. In fact, the first author introduced the need to cultivate an interdependent actively caring culture in his first book on the human dynamics of OSH (Geller, 1996). He emphasized that the spirit of win/win interdependence is vital to meeting the challenge of attaining and sustaining an injury-free workplace.
