Center Provides Farm Safety Training

The Center for Rural Health and Farm Safety at Carle, backed by the Carle Foundation, was created to educate people on agricultural safety and health. It recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and its accomplishment of educating nearly 5,000 people. The center was founded after the deaths of father and son Clifford and Dean Roberts, who lost their lives in farming incidents. The center provides free safety and training classes to adults, children, emergency workers and farmers in and around central Illinois.
