ASSE Transportation Experts to Offer Guidance on Distracted Driving

Asse's Transportation Practice Specialty (IPS) began as the Transportation Division in 1996. TPS encompasses all modes of transportation, such as ground, air, fleet, rail and maritime, and monitors legislative and regulatory issues within the transportation industry. In January 2011, TPS formed the Distracted Driving Subcommittee to work with ASSE's professional affairs department on the highly visible issue of distracted driving. This subcommittee is currently putting together guidance documents to highlight the prevalence of distracted driving, educate companies and drivers on how to avoid distracted driving, and how to prepare for other distracted drivers on the road.
