The London men's collections brought the spotlight back on British men's style in the summer, as the likes of mega brand Burberry showcased their spring/summer 2014 menswear collection for the first time in more than a decade. With demand for designer menswear booming, now is not the time to hide behind that faded old suit and washed-out shirt. But nor is the office the place for garish or outlandish attire. Projecting the right image can have a huge effect on how clients and colleagues perceive you. For the autumn/winter collections, there was a move back to the classic double-breasted suit, blazer and coat, as seen at Rake and Topman Design. A flourish of pinstripe from the likes of Alexander McQueen and Angelo Galasso, and a pop of colour on accessories, as expertly demonstrated by Oliver Spencer, were all in keeping with a more formal look. But how does this translate into the working man's wardrobe?
