MANAGERS FEAR FOR JOBS DESPITE CONFIDENCE BOOST

Managers are still worried about their jobs despite having much higher confidence in the economy as a whole. CMI's annual Future Forecast shows that managers continue to feel insecure despite a raft of key economic indicators showing a marked improvement. More than two in five managers reported moderate or rapid growth in their organisations compared to just 32% in the previous report. And nearly two-thirds (63%) feel optimistic about their organisation's prospects for 2014 - up from around half (53%) in the previous forecast.
