Laboratory's training courses aim to plug big skills gaps in metrology

The national Physical Laboratory (NPL) is launching a training programme in how metrology is used with large structures to help fill skill gaps in engineering firms. According to the NPL, the courses in Large Volume Metrology (LVM) are the first of their kind in the world. They are aimed at helping a range of sectors, including therndefence, marine, aerospace and automotive industries.
