Reviews Heath Reidy recalls the thrill of supersonic flight, and Lee Hibbert pays a visit to one of the few remaining Norfolk wind-pumps
Housed in a slick aircraft hangar at Manchester Airport's Aviation Viewing Park, Concorde still pulls in the crowds, six years after its last commercial passenger flight.rnSo it's a shame that, while giving people a good day out, today's tour of this historic supersonic aircraft doesn't quite live up to the impressive standards of the plane.rnThe 90-minute technical tour of Concorde G-BOAC - the oldest in the aircraft fleet - sees a guide take visitors around the outside of the aircraft, before climbing aboard to tell them about its equally impressive narrow interior.rnMuch to their satisfaction, visitors are given a nice up close and personal experience of the 62m-long craft. This is all, thankfully, with very little restriction, from touching the wheels to sitting in one of the plane's 100 luxury leather seats. You are also welcome to get snap happy with your camera when the tour ends.
