Small businesses are constantly being told that they are possibly the most important sector of the UK economy, but for the great majority, the biggest problem they face is money. While they are often the most innovative sector, the banks generally view them as high-risk ventures and thus with suspicion. So small businesses often view the banks as outmoded and unsympathetic.
