Prozessintegration von Produktion und Logistik durch APS-Systeme

Throughout the last years the development whithin the area of planning and scheduling of production and logistic processes is characterised by increasing demands due to the need for process orientation. Based on new methods and concepts APS-systems (advanced planning & scheduling) promise significant improvements for process support. For the first time the continuous implementation of production and logistic processes seems to be possible based on a process oriented understanding of production. The following paper describes potentials and restrictions of possible im-provents using practical experiences during the design and implementation of a new APS-system targeted at small and medium sized enterprises (SME).
