Some items might also have to be bought used as they may be rare or discontinued, some suffer only cosmetic damage in use and go on functioning almost indefinitely with minor upkeep. Luckily accessories such as monitors, sound equipment and tripods do not degrade or date rapidly and can adapt to equipment that has to be constantly updated, thus giving them a longer life expectancy.
