THE DEATH OF WILLIAM BLANDOWSKI

The original reference to and details of Blandowski's death from a newspaper are provided. In my account of the life of William Blandowski (Darragh 2009), I gave details of his death, which were taken from a secondary source (Lewczynski & Pol 1993). The authors did not cite the origin of this information in their paper and despite efforts to ascertain from the first author where they found it, I was unsuccessful. Thanks to Ms Joanna Jenczewska-Pajka, Librarian, Museum in Gliwice, who kindly sent me a copy of his death notice, that information has now been provided.
