摘要

In this study, the static characteristics of perimeter beam-to-SHS column connections using vertical stiffener plates (C-VS type connections)are experimentally investigated. The test results showed that C-VS type connections could transfer the stress of the beam to panel zone by vertical stiffeners and the statical characteristics of them were almost equivalent to the usual connections. In this test series effective area of the panel zone under severe cyclic loading are investigated experimentally using cruciform specimens. The panel strength ratio Rpp(pMp/Min (ΣbMp,ΣcMp) of specimens were designed less than 1.
