Chair's Summary

摘要

Imaging of molecular signatures of specific structures, functions, and pathological alterations in the lung tissue represents an important and challenging goal. This summary outlines general themes of the 24th annual Transatlantic Airway Conference that took place in Lucerne in January 2009 focused on this subject. The following papers presented by the speakers outline specific subjects discussed at the meeting, including identification of candidate molecular signatures, design of imaging probes, and application of specific imaging modalities for visualization of pulmonary molecular signatures.
