Most of the applications being developed are designed to fit with existing processes. User won't see a completely different product, but they will see a product that is designed to fit seamlessly with the existing production line. These products will help manufacturers achieve better, smaller, faster and cheaper products. They could also help in developing new markets and "greener" products.
