Sales of consumer electronics will grow to $733 billion by 2018, nearly half of which will be driven by smartphone demand, a new report says. Emerging markets now account for more than half the worldwide consumer spending, with China now as large at North America, at a 22% share. Smartphone sales will peak at $343 billion in 2018, FutureSource added. The wearables market will add another $28 billion to the topline, up 200% from this year.
