THE DEVELOPMENT OF A 110 KV DRY-TYPE TRANSFORMER

There has recently been a worldwide trend towards stricter requirements on the ecology, fire and safety requirements of electrical equipment, which has been reflected in the extension of the region of application of dry-type transformers and a successive increase in their rated voltage and nominal power. Russian industry is already producing dry-type transformers with a rated voltage of up to 35 kV. In this paper we provide information on the work being carried out and the results so far achieved in developing the first Russian 110 kV dry-type transformer with air-barrier insulation.
