摘要

This paper develops an efficient and reliablenevolutionary-programming-based algorithm for solving the environmentallynconstrained economic dispatch (ECED) problem. The algorithm can dealnwith load demand specifications in multiple intervals of the generationnscheduling horizon. In the paper, the principal components of thenevolutionary-programming-based ECED algorithm are presented. Solutionnacceleration techniques in the algorithm which enhance the speed andnrobustness of the algorithm are developed. The power and usefulness ofnthe algorithm is demonstrated through its application to a test system
