This paper presents a game theory application for analyzing powerntransactions in a deregulated energy marketplace such as PoolCo, wherenparticipants, especially, generating entities, maximize their netnprofits through optimal bidding strategies (i.e., bidding prices andnbidding generations). In this paper, the electricity market for powerntransactions is modeled as a noncooperative game with completeninformation, where the solution is determined in a continuous strategyndomain having recourse to the Nash equilibrium idea. In order to providenmore apprehensible analysis, we suggest a new hybrid solution approachnemploying a 2-dimensional graphical approach as well as an analyticalnmethod. Finally, the proposed approach is demonstrated on a sample powernsystem
