Maintaining natural-gas fired baseload plants

Current gas prices and expanding emissions regulations on coal-fired plants are resulting in increased capacity factors at combustion turbine combined-cycle (CTCC) plants -in some cases, from as little as 10 percent to more than 60 percent. The increasing reliance on these assets to provide baseload generation drives the need for comprehensive new operations and maintenance strategies.
