Operation of an on-line substation diagnosis system

An online monitoring system applied to a recently built substation is described. It monitors the 204 kV and 72 kV gas-insulated switchgear and the transformer in their normal operating condition. The basic principle used to detect an abnormality is presented together with a record of the system's operation in the first year.
