Distribution transformer loss of life evaluation: a novel approachbased on daily load profiles

This work presents a methodology for distribution transformernrating selection and management. Measured or estimated daily loadnprofiles are used to determine the transformer's loss of life. Loss ofnlife values are obtained for a number of transformers and are storedntogether with the corresponding load profiles in a database of patterns.nThe expected loss of life for a transformer not included in the databasenis obtained by comparing the transformer's actual load profile to thenones stored in the database
