Infrastructure projects at South Africa's ports have resumed at the beginning of June after the country moved to level 3 of COVID-19 restrictions.General construction work was put on hold under the stringent lockdown regulations that came into effect on 27 March and was still prohibited when South Africa moved to level 4 restrictions at the beginning of May. However, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on 24 May that all sectors of the country's economy, including port infrastructure projects, would reopen under level 3 restrictions.
