BCT celebrates heavy load handling first

Baltic container terminal in Poland recently handled its first heavy cargo using its new Liebherr LHM-400 mobile harbour crane. The crane took only 30 minutes to haul the 97.5 ton transformer, which had been shipped from sister company Tartous International Container Terminal in Syria, from unloading to transferring the cargo to a dedicated storage area. BCT realised early on the need for ship-to-shore handling equipment which could handle project cargo of up to 100 tonnes.
