Italy chooses Tideland LED lanterns

Tideland Signal has won a fifth order to supply a range of LED lanterns and LED flashers to the Italian Navy, which is responsible for aids to navigation around the country's coast. The lanterns and flashers are part of an on-going programme of refurbishment and modernisation continuing in stages along the coastline of the whole peninsula. Previous orders from the Italian Navy have included some 270 MaxiHALO units, 44 MLED-300s and 68 MLED-155 and 140s as well as SolaMAX and MaxLED 800 lanterns, the latter to replace traditional rotating beacons in lighthouses around the coast of Albania.
