Algerian contract for ABB

ABB has won a $ 100m contract from Sonatrach, Algeria's state oil and gas company, to reconstruct and revamp a treatment unit in the LPG plant that serves the Rhourde-Nouss gas field. The contract was booked in the second quarter of 2015. The scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and testing of hardware and software for the plant. ABB will revamp the plant's LPG Train 200 - the treatment and fractionation unit that was damaged in 2009 - and bring the plant's safety systems up to the latest international standards.
