With the wild success of GM's series of LSX engines, and the prodigious amount of power they're capable of producing with minimal effort, there is a dirty little secret that those in the know have been dealing with: the factory LSX piston is notoriously weak when leaned on hard. Problems with piston slap, oil consumption, ring wear, and vulnerability to boost have been well document-ed, but until now, the solution has been to either reload with stock slugs, or go with a high-end custom piston. SRP has finally done something about it, with a full range of products in the middle ground.
