At 17, Bill Panouses went to the house of a gentleman who was selling a '68 Firebird. He was interested in the 'Bird, but could not keep his eyes, or attention, away from the '68 Camaro Z/28 with all the original bits and less than 1,000 miles on the odometer. Bill swore one day he would have a '68 Camaro of his own. Since he was 12 years old, he would return home from school and wrench himself to sleep in the garage. Since that time, Bill has owned dozens of cars, most of them from his favorite year, '68, but never a first-generation Camaro.
