They love that the armor protects them from specified ballistic threats, but they hate having to wear the stuff.rnPOLICE'S body armor survey was sent to 3,866 officers over the July 4 weekend, and it yielded a 10 percent response. This response rate may have been adversely affected by the holiday weekend. However, it still yields significant results, accurate to within plus or minus 4.8 percent.
