OBITUARY WILLIAM J MURRAY, MBE, 8971, CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT, RUCGC RETD.

William John Murray MBE died on 2nd May 2010 at Hospital. He was the husband of Aine and father of Siobhan, William and Stuart. Bill had been seriously ill for some time. He joined the RUCGC in January 1964 and was a squadmate of Raymond Orr and Basil Kerr. He served in Counties Down and Antrim and in senior posts in Complaints and Discipline, Personnel Branch, Operations Department, North and West Belfast. Bill was awarded the MBE in 1993 and retired from the force in 1998. His funeral service was held in Regent Street, Presbyterian Church, Bangor and interment at Carnmoney cemetery. We extend our sincere condolences to Aine, Siobhan, William, Stuart, Philip, Courtney, Hazel and grandchildren Matthew, Jonathan, Ella and all the family circle.
