ROYAL ULSTER CONSTABULARY GEORGE CROSS FOUNDATION MAKES AWARD TO TWO DUKE OF EDINBURGH YOUTH COMMITTEE MEMBERS.

As part of its outreach work in order to fulfil its mandate, the Royal Ulster Constabulary George Cross Foundation recently awarded bursaries to two local young people. The RUC GC Foundation was established by virtue of Section 70 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 for the purpose of "marking the sacrifices and honouring the achievements of the Royal Ulster Constabulary". The Board's chairman and trustees are always keen to publicise its efforts and encourages people from all sections of society (at home and abroad) to learn more about the RUCGC and its contributions to policing.
