Current issues facing the profession

Readers of this journal may find that certain subjects arise with almost monotonous regularity. Politically, we have been concentrating of late on the introduction of the Health Bill and all the implications for protection of title and self-regulation of the profession. This is of such importance that it has taken precedence even over other matters that must continue to be emphasised. The necessity of adequate record keeping, for instance, and its vital importance in the realm of professional indemnity insurance, is one of those topics to which we shall return (again and again).
