Holtec International submitted another amendmentnrequest for the Hi-Storm 100 spent fuel storage system Nov.n7, seeking to tie up some loose ends discovered after usersnbegan implementing amendment 2. The request was notnpublicly available at press time. NRC was conducting annacceptance review. But an official said it involves sevennchanges to the certificate of compliance and technical specificationsnthat are “fairly discrete.” Holtec licensing chiefnStefan Anton characterized the changes as “minor,” sayingnthey include such things as changes to the soluble boronnlevel requirements, expanding the definition of fuel debris,nand updating the helium leak test requirements.
