NRC cites NFS for violations of NRC rules on QA, procurement

NRC slapped Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS) with four SeveritynLevel IV violations following a March 7-11 inspection of thencompany’s Erwin, Tenn. facility. While the violations are thenlowest severity on NRC’s scale, “the nature of the violations isnof concern to the NRC and merits particular attention by NFSnmanagement,” stated the cover letter accompanying theninspection report and notice of violation (NOV).
