The daily spot price of uranium middayrnOctober 7 was $22.60 a pound, downrn40 cents from the price Platts reportedrnSeptember 30 but higher than the 11-year lowrnthat price reporting services issued later thatrnday and early the week of October 3,rnaccording to market sources.rnPrices have climbed about 1.6% since thernevening of September 30, when pricernreporting company TradeTech said the spotrnprice was $22.25/lb, the lowest price sincernearly 2005. The price increased 15 centsrnOctober 4 to $22.40/lb and then rose another 20 cents October 5 before climbing 30 centsrnOctober 6 to $22.90/lb, TradeTech said.
