China Nonferrous Metal Corp. saidnWednesday it has started producingncopper cathode at its $380 millionnMuliashi Copper Project in Zambia andnhas already produced 400 mt of copperncathode. Muliashi Deputy CEO RobertnKamanga said the mine produced itsnfirst copper cathode in April and wouldnproduce 42,000 mt/year of the material.nCNMC bought the Muliashi assets,ntogether with Baluba copper mine, forn$50 million from Luanshya CoppernMines, which was previously majorityownednby UK-based Enya Holdings.nConstruction of the Muliashi projectnstarted in March 2010 and was completednsix months ahead of schedulenin December 2011
