Visteon JV opens aluminum radiators plant in SW China

Fawer Visteon Climate Control Systemsn(FVCC), a joint venture of Visteon and FawernAutomotive Parts, has opened a plant innChengdu in southwestern China to producenaluminum radiators for vehicle manufacturers,nthe company said late Monday. Thennew 39,800 square foot plant will supportnthe FAW-Volkswagen manufacturing basenin Chengdu and other automakers in southwesternnChina and is expected to have annannual production capacity of 500,000 unitsnby 2013. “This strategic location reinforcesnour ability to support domestic and globalnautomakers in China, the largest automotivenmarket,” said Joy Greenway, Visteonnproduct group president. FVCC was establishednin 1995 and supplies mechanicalnaluminum radiators, heating ventilation andnair conditioning systems (HVAC) and chargenair coolers to automakers worldwide.
