OZ hikes 2010 Au guidance on Q2 output

Australian copper-gold producer OZnMinerals on Friday hiked its full year goldnguidance to 140,000-150,000 oz fromn100,000-110,000 oz after its flagshipnProminent Hill project in the state of SouthnAustralia produced a higher than expectedn49,249 oz of the metal in the April-Junenquarter. The output was up 11% from then44,221 oz of gold produced over April-Junen2009 — the project’s first full quarter ofnproduction — due to the total ore feedncontaining a higher proportion of gold andna higher than average grading, andnimproved gold recovery, OZ said.
