Mass Hub up nearly $20/MWh on demand

Northeast dailies jumped Friday with higher demand projections at the start of the week. Mass Hub on-peak prices for Monday delivery shot up $18.25 to $51/MWh on the IntercontinentalExchange. Mass Hub day-ahead off-peak showed a more modest gain, rising $2 to $22.50/MWh. The ISO New England predicted demand to increase from a peakload of 17,950 MW Friday to 22,500 MW Monday and 22,750 MW Tuesday.
