The Bureau of Land Management plans to begin preparing anrnenvironmental impact statement for a 345-kV transmission line that isrnexpected to boost import and export capabilities in northern NewrnMexico while giving renewable generation access to the grid.rnAt issue is the roughly 33-mile Verde transmission projectrnproposed by Hunt Power. The project would run between the Ojo andrnNorton substations owned by Public Service Co. of New Mexico,rncompleting a 345-kV loop in the area that includes the Four Corners and San Juan coal-fired power plants.
