US West day-ahead power prices were mostly stronger Friday as gasrnfutures rose.rnIn California, SP15 day-ahead on-peak gained $1.50 to about $50.50/rnMWh on the IntercontinentalExchange for Monday delivery, up about 42%rnfrom July 18. Off-peak moved down $1.75 to around $36/MWh for all-dayrnSunday and Monday delivery. Weekend on-peak traded around $45.50/rnMWh. Balance-of-the-week on-peak moved up $2 to about $47/MWh.
