NextEra plans 250-MW solar plant in Nevada

A NextEra Energy Resources subsidiary has filed an application withrnthe Public Utilities Commission of Nevada for a permit to build a 250-rnMW utility-scale solar PV facility on federal land 32 miles west of LasrnVegas near the California border.rnYellow Pine Solar, the NextEra subsidiary, said in its application thatrnthe proposed facility would supply power to the Nevada grid, but didrnnot name a specific offtaker. The company said it expects thernpermitting process to take 18 to 24 months, with constructionrnanticipated to begin in the third quarter of 2019.
