Mass Hub stalls despite jump in spot gas

Northeast power prices were weaker Monday despite a jump in spot gas prices and higher demand forecast. Mass Hub on-peak dropped 25 cents to about $22.25/MWh for Tuesday delivery on the IntercontinentalExchange. Off-peak jumped $4.25 to around $14.25/MWh. Balance-of-theweek on-peak added $6 to around $30.50/MWh. Next-week on-peak dropped $4.50 to about $23.50/MWh.
