Power prices in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator andrnPJM Interconnection were rising Thursday on higher forecastrntemperatures leading to rising demand expectations into next week.rnIn PJM, PJM West on-peak day-ahead rose $2.25 to the upperrn$20s/MWh as off-peak lost $1 to around $17.50/MWh.rnSimilarly, AD Hub on-peak day-ahead moved up $1 to the upperrn$20s/MWh and NO Hub on-peak day-ahead jumped $3 to the mid-rn$30s/MWh.rnHigh temperatures across the PJM footprint were forecastrnincreasing as much as 8 degrees day on day to range from the upperrn70s to mid-80s for Friday, according to CustomWeather.com.rnTemperatures were expected to continue to rise into next week.rnPJM forecast peakload rising from 91,450 MW Thursday to 97,800rnMW Friday, 104,150 MW Saturday, 120,575 MS Sunday, 142,275 MWrnMonday, 147,225 MW Tuesday, which would be the highest level in thernregion since August.
