NYISO A West day-ahead on-peak rises $7 on forecast of higher power demand

Most New York day-ahead power prices rose Thursday on expectations of higher electricity demand even as spot natural gas prices fell. New York Independent System Operator Zone A West LMP on-peak rose $7 to more than $39.75/MWh for Friday delivery, according to the ISO. Off-peak increased about 50 cents to around $18.50/MWh. NYISO Zone G Hudson Valley on-peak increased nearly 75 cents to more than $35.75/MWh as off-peak rose more than 50 cents to roughly $21.75/MWh.
