摘要

CMS Energy said every 1% of reduction of customer electricity rates because of tax reform would equate to about $400 million of incremental capital investment capacity, the company’s CFO told analysts Wednesday. The Jackson, Michigan-based owner of electricity and gas utility Consumers Energy submitted a plan to the Michigan Public Service Commission January 19 on how it would like to see tax reform incorporated in its rates. Part of that filing, according to CMS CFO Rejji Hayes, proposed a $165 million rate reduction for its utility customers in 2018.
