US lawmakers urge Biden Administration to elevate efforts against Mexico's energy policy

Forty members of the US Congress have written a letter to federalofficials, including the Energy Secretary and State Department, askingthem to step up actions to protect US companies from what it sees asnationalistic efforts by the Mexican government in the energy sector.“We write to express our grave concern about reports of escalatingefforts by the Government or Mexico to exclude private companiesfrom its energy sector in contravention of its internationalcommitments,” the lawmakers said in a Nov. 3 letter, urging them toelevate efforts to stop discriminatory actions.
