1. Power packages for March 2 trended up on the Intercontinental Exchange as temperatures were forecast to trend higher on March 3. 2. PJM day-ahead West Hub and AD Hub on-peak for next-day delivery hiked about $6.25 to trade around $32.75/MWh and $31.75/MWh. The West Hub real time on-peak package also rose about $6.25 to trade around $33.75/MWh. 3. Day-ahead peakload demand in PJM for March 2 was forecast to grow significantly, up 7.1% to 96 GW from 89.7 GW forecast on March 1. 4. The PJM West Hub real time on-peak July forwards contract remained flat to trade at $36.25/MWh, and the AD Hub June contract fell about 25 cents to trade around $30.25/MWh. 5. Wind penetration in PJM rose on Feb. 28, wind on-peak share climbed 4.4% and wind off-peak rose 1.3%, according to the S&P Global Platts Renewable Penetration Index.
