MISO has almost 5 GW of generation capacity being built, mostly wind, solar

The Midcontinent Independent System Operator has 4,976 MW of generation capacity – mostly wind and solar – under construction with generation interconnection agreements and negotiated in-service agreements before the end of 2020, a Generation Interconnection Queue report generated Sept. 8 shows. But the latest GIQ report also shows almost 2.8 GW of generation projects with generation interconnection agreements in place that have been canceled so far in 2020, up from less than 2.6 GW in the mid-August GIQ report.
