Northern Appalachian coal deliveries to US power plants totaled 76.79 million st in 2019, up 6.4% from the 72.15 million st delivered a year earlier, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration. It was the only major US basin to see higher year-on-year deliveries, despite the largest supplying mine seeing a 6.8% year-onyear decrease.
