MISO to add 4.1 GW of wind, 730 MW of gas capacity by mid-summer: report

The Midcontinwent Independent System Operator has 4,050 MW ofwind and 730 MW of natural gas-fired generation under constructionand scheduled to be online by mid-summer, a GenerationInterconnection Queue report generated Monday said, and 25 projects,totaling 4,572 MW, have been withdrawn so far this year.Of the wind total under construction, 1,832 MW have “NegotiatedIn-Service Dates” in 2019, and it is unclear exactly when those will bebrought online.Of the remaining wind total under construction, 1,116 MW is to becompleted by the end of April, while the remaining capacity hasnegotiated in service dates in June.
